Koobits Orientation

Parents and students converged at Rosehill Christian Church today, Saturday, August 17, 2019 to attend the Eastbridge School's Koobits Orientation. This online Math program developed and widely used in Singapose, was adopted by Eastbridge last year to enhance its already excellent Mathematics curriculum which uses Singapore Math and had produced many Math whiz in the school, enabling it to win competitions and representing the whole province of Rizal to the Regional Math Quizbee for the past two years.

Interest in Math, or the lack of it, has always been the reason forwarded by students and teachers alike why learners don't perform well in it. Koobits has powerful features that not only develop the learner's problem solving skill and speed but most important of all, their interest in the subject. Here's a quote from the software's website:

We engage children with beautifully designed software and learning content. KooBits software tools are intuitive, interactive, media-rich and highly motivating. Co-developed with top educators and experts in child development, KooBits learning contents are age-appropriate, relevant and aligned to the latest education curriculum and syllabus. Our flagship product is KooBits® ProblemSums. It is a highly personalised maths platform for learning mathematics, powered by Big Data technology and a healthy dose of gamification. This product is currently widely adopted in Singapore, making it one of the top maths learning platform in the country. KooBits ProblemSums has also been licensed internationally to Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines etc, with Australia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and a lot more in the pipeline. The orientation was attended by transferees and newly promoted students who will  be using Koobits for the first time. The program naturally generated a lot of excitement for the kids who discovered that Mat, after all, can be enjoyable to learn.

Eastbridge's Math teacher, Rolyn Perez, who also is the coach of the school's Math Quiz Team, conducts the orientation with the help of some of the teaching staff. The students also receive their login and password to access the software that same day.
